Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a British/Lebanese lawyer, human rights activist, and charity philanthropist. Following her graduation from the Oxford University School of Law she embarked on an enduring and lucrative professional career within human rights as well as international law. Her most famous clients include many nations, like Armenia who are trying to convince an agreement with the Turkish government to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney married American actor George Clooney and became a well-known name in pop culture in 2014. In the years prior to her marriage, she was admired and well-known in legal circles because of her success in defending clients. Her work ranges between social justice and human rights issues to representing multinational corporations during negotiations or court cases regarding federal regulations. Since 2015 she served as a barrister in British Court in Doughty Street Chambers.
